(“JesusDoes,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares information about you through our online interfaces, including jesusdoes.org, jesusdoes.com, and associated applications (collectively, the “Site”). This Privacy Policy applies only to information we collect through the Site. Our Site may contain links to third-party sites not owned or controlled by JesusDoes. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy statements.

Information We Collect
Information You Provide to Us
When you submit a video testimony, create an account, or otherwise interact with our Site, we may collect: your name (first and last); email address; phone number; city, state, and country; church or organization affiliation; video and audio recordings you submit; the type of testimony you are sharing (e.g., gratitude, prayer request, lament); your consent preferences, including podcast appearance consent and terms acceptance; and any other information you choose to provide.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our Site, we may automatically collect: IP address; browser type and version; device information; pages visited and time spent; and referring URL. We use cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some Site features may not function without them.
Information from Third-Party Services
We may receive information about you from third-party services you use to interact with our platform, including video collection services and authentication providers.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: operate the JesusDoes platform and process video testimony submissions; create and manage your person profile across submissions; match and link your submissions to the appropriate organizations and campaigns; send follow-up communications about your submissions, including check-in messages and story update requests; send you information about JesusDoes programs and initiatives; process and respond to prayer requests by connecting them with registered ministry partners; generate automated transcriptions and AI-powered analysis of video content for search, discovery, and categorization purposes; produce podcast episodes and other media featuring your testimony (with your separate consent); display your testimony on partner organization websites, YouTube, and other distribution channels in accordance with the distribution context you selected; improve and maintain the Site; and comply with legal obligations.
How We Share Your Information
Partner Organizations. When you submit a testimony through a campaign associated with a church, nonprofit, ministry, business, or other organization, your submission and associated information may be shared with that organization. Organizations receive information relevant to their campaign, including your name, testimony type, and video content. Distribution is governed by the context you selected at the time of submission (public, organization-only, small group, or private).
Ministry Response Partners. If you submit a prayer request, your request may be shared with churches and ministries registered on the JesusDoes platform that have agreed to our response guidelines. Responses come through organizational channels only, never from unaffiliated individuals.
Public Display. Testimonies submitted with a public distribution context may be displayed on jesusdoes.org, jesusdoes.com, partner websites, YouTube, and other public channels. Once content is made public, JesusDoes cannot control further redistribution by third parties.
Service Providers. We use third-party service providers to help operate the platform. These providers have access to your information only as necessary to perform their services and are contractually obligated to protect it. Our current service providers include:
Supabase (database hosting and authentication); Resend (email delivery for follow-up communications and notifications); Zapier (workflow automation connecting video submission services to our database); VideoPeel (video collection and hosting); and Google Analytics (website usage analytics).
Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to detect and prevent fraud or security issues.
Business Transfers. If JesusDoes is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control.
AI and Automated Processing
We use artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to process submitted content. This includes automated transcription of video and audio, thematic analysis and categorization, sentiment and topic identification, and speaker characteristic tagging for search and discovery. AI-generated analysis is used to improve the platform experience and help viewers find relevant testimonies. Automated processing does not alter the content of your testimony. Follow-Up Communications
By providing your email address, you consent to receive periodic follow-up communications from JesusDoes. These emails check in on your story and invite you to share updates. Follow-up timing is based on your most recent submission. You may also receive operator notifications related to your submissions.
You may opt out of follow-up communications at any time by contacting [email protected] or using the unsubscribe link in any email. Opting out of communications does not affect the distribution of your previously submitted content.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information and submitted content for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. Video testimonies and associated records are retained indefinitely as part of the JesusDoes testimony archive, consistent with our mission. You may request deletion of your personal information by contacting [email protected]. We will make reasonable efforts to remove your information from systems under our direct control, subject to legal and operational requirements.
Consent Records
We maintain immutable records of all consent you provide, including the specific language you agreed to, the date and time of consent, and the type of consent (e.g., terms acceptance, podcast consent). These records are retained for legal and audit purposes and are not deleted even if other personal information is removed upon request.
Security of Your Information
We use industry-standard physical, technical, and administrative security measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
Children’s Privacy
Our Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it. Submissions from individuals between 13 and 17 require parental or guardian consent as described in our Video Release and Consent Form.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information: the right to access the personal information we hold about you; the right to request correction of inaccurate information; the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and operational limitations; the right to restrict or object to certain processing of your information; and the right to data portability.

California Privacy Rights
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California’s “Shine the Light” law, including the right to know what personal information is collected, disclosed, or sold; the right to request deletion; the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (JesusDoes does not sell personal information); and the right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights. JesusDoes is operated in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using our Site, you consent to this transfer.
