Intercession Gatherings

Carry the burden before Jesus.

Intercession Gatherings are public prayer efforts around civic, social, ministry, crisis, or spiritual burdens larger than one personal need.

How This Gathering Fits

The burden is shared. The prayer stays vertical.

An Intercession Gathering gives a public burden a durable place to be carried before Jesus. It can be for a city, a crisis, a war, a community wound, a ministry burden, or a public question where the right response is not debate but prayer.

By default anyone can add a prayer to an intercession gathering. If you cannot handle having someone pray an opposing request about the same topic you're engaging, don't create an intercession gathering. This is not a place for debate, doctrine, dogma, or diatribe - petition the Lord as you are led, and let prayers that differ from your own remind you who is King (and who is not).

Because these topics can become arguments quickly, Intercession Gatherings filter debate, teaching, doctrine, commentary, and graphic detail. The request is simple: speak to Jesus, not to the crowd.

Best for
  • Civic, social, ministry, crisis, and community burdens.
  • Prayer efforts where many people need one public place to return.
  • Staff-led or KEY-created prayer around a burden larger than one private request.
  • Topics that need prayerful attention without becoming a debate surface.
Boundary

Public does not mean unguarded.

An Intercession Gathering is not a comment thread, help desk, news argument, or campaign. It should invite prayer without exposing private details or turning pain into spectacle.
